SEXUAL GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE -Guidelines as covered in EU Directives

Sexual gender-based violence (SGBV) is a social phenomenon that knows no boundaries with regard to time, variety and geography. Currently SGBV is more pervasive in those cultures and environments where there is a prevalent lack of respect for human rights mainly with regard to women and children, who are often extremely vulnerable to abuse, harassment, exploitation and abandonment. Women and girls are often the ones who suffer the most from SGBV.
